Are you new to boxing? At TFC we have introduced a boxing basics class for those who are looking to get started or keep sharpening their fundamental skills.
This class focuses on teaching you the essential skills needed to box correctly, like proper stance, footwork, and punch techniques.

Boxing Basics is a beginner-friendly class focused on giving you the skills to build a strong foundation. There’s no rush to get into sparring or advanced moves this class is all about learning to box the right way. Whether you’re here to improve your fitness or you have a fight in boxing, this class sets you up for success.
By concentrating on technique and controlled movements, you’ll not only boost your fitness and confidence, but you’ll also be preparing yourself for more advanced training or sparring down the line.

What to Expect in Boxing Basics
We want to make sure every beginner feels comfortable and confident as they learn. In our basics class, you will master core skills that make up the foundation of boxing. Our coaches will teach you skills like how to stand, how to punch with the correct technique and how to move your feet like a boxer. We also have a heavy focus on defense like high guard and blocking. The focus is on building solid foundations that will stick with you as you progress. You will get fit as a byproduct of the class but that isn’t our key focus.

How the Class is Structured
- Warm-Up: We kick off with light exercises like shadow boxing or low paced drills to get warm
- Skills Training: You’ll spend time practicing core boxing techniques, normally with a partner working with gloves, pads or bags to nail down your punches and footwork.
- Personal Coaching: Each student gets individualized feedback by our coaches as the class goes on to help you correct small mistakes and fine-tune your skills.
- Fitness Drills: To wrap up, we mix in some conditioning work using boxing drills and bodyweight exercises that help build strength and endurance.
