Are you new to Muay Thai? Our Muay Thai Basics class is the perfect class for you. This class has been designed to teach the foundations of Muay Thai for someone who is just starting out all the way through to a fighter looking to sharpen their fundamental skills. The class covers Muay Thai fundamentals skills such as basic balance, footwork, striking with punches, kicks and defensive skills.
At The Fight Centre our Muay Thai Basics classes are designed to help beginners learn the foundations of Muay Thai. We have made this class for someone new to martial arts or for someone who is looking to sharpen their fundamental skills. The class covers all of the basics fundamentals of Muay Thai like balance, striking with punches, kicks and knees.

What You’ll Learn in Muay Thai Basics
Our Muay Thai basics classes are designed to teach you the core techniques of Muay Thai. Our coaches teach you the correct stance, basic strike attacks and defenses, proper footwork and balance. This class is perfect for someone who is brand new to Muay Thai but is definitely not limited to new members. Don’t be surprised to see experienced fighters jump in from time to time to sharpen their fundamentals.

How the Class is Structured
- Warm-Up: We kick off with light exercises like shadow boxing or low paced drills to get warm
- Skills Training: You’ll spend time practicing core Muay Thai techniques, normally with a partner working with gloves, pads or bags to nail down your punches and footwork.
- Personal Coaching: Each student gets individualized feedback by our coaches as the class goes on to help you correct small mistakes and fine-tune your skills.
- Fitness Drills: To wrap up, we mix in some conditioning work using Muay Thai drills and bodyweight exercises that help build strength and endurance.
