TFC Awards Gala

Event Date: 29 Nov 2025

On November 29th this year, Team TFC will venture out of Logan and into one of the city’s most opulent venues – Cloudland, in the heart of Fortitude Valley.

It’s a red carpet and flashing lights night of nights as we launch our first ever annual awards Gala.

Read on to learn more about the awards that will be presented, the awards you can vote on, why we decided to have a gala, and sponsorship opportunities!

  • THE 10 AWARDS BEING PRESENTED

10 awards will be presented at this year’s inaugural event.  The first 5 will be voted on by select coaching staff and advisory mentors, they are:

    > Fighter Of The Year

    > Most Technical Athlete

    > Performance Of The Year

    > Most Promising Athlete

    > Rookie Of The Year

3 member awards will be nominated through attendance and trend data, and then decided on by majority vote from the entire Team TFC staff, those awards are:

    > Most Significant Development

    > Most Consistent Student

    > The <insert name here> Cup (Honorary Muay Thai award for commitment to the sport & to the gym) – we’re currently workshopping the name.

The final 2 awards have been selected and voted on by the entire TFC membership base, past and present, those awards are:

    > TFC Member Community Award

    > TFC Trainer Of The Year

Votes and nominations for those last 2 awards are still open, so please get your votes in asap!

  • WHY ARE WE HAVING THE TFC AWARDS GALA?

It’s pretty simple really – – because we think you guys deserve celebration and recognition, and equally so do our fighters and aspiring athletes coming up through the ranks.

Most other sports celebrate the end of a season with prize-giving celebrations, like the well known Dally M awards for the NRL.

But in combat sports these presentations are usually packaged up with an end of year Xmas event and not a lot of the drama we believe it deserves.

There are no seasons in combat sports.  We work year round with no days off and our fighters take no pay cheques on the way there.

When we put this on the calendar way back in March, the intent was part of a larger vision to diversify our community offerings for connection over the course of the year.

This began with our double header weekend in February.  ‘A Decade Of Muay Thai’ Fight Night, followed up by our 10 year anniversary celebration event on board the OASIS on the Brisbane River.

In the mid-year we hosted our largest ever Muay Thai and BJJ Grading event, where Ben Johnston and Darcy Vendy both received their BJJ black belts, and celebrations took place locally at the Meadowbrook Golf Club.

We threw in a couple of pop-up sausage sizzles at the gym off the cuff, and then wrapped up 7 rounds of TFC Fight Camp with Fight Night 7 on the 20th of September.

The exclamation point of the year was always leading us to this event, the TFC Awards Gala.

We will close out our 10th year with the same energy we opened it with, high vibes, good times and creating events built for peak moments and core memories, championship mentality.

  • TFC AWARDS GALA SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

If you are a business owner or sole trader with a connection to TFC and a heart for combat sports, you have the opportunity to have one of the awards named after you, your family or your business.

The naming of the award will be permanent, and will continue on annually with each event.

There are 4 sponsorship places available, if you are interested in learning more and claiming a piece of combat sports history in your name please reach out to us asap by email to [email protected].
