TFC Weekly Member Update ~ August 1st

In your weekly member update this week we chat Issaac Rendall’s spectacular 2nd round finish on Proving Grounds, the start of Fight Camp 7, the Sunday run club AND TFC’s amateur Muay Thai team set to perform on the q1 Muay Thai Amateur series at Nissan Arena this Sunday, August 3rd!

It was a big week at TFC last week with the start of Fight Camp 7.  This Fight Camp will be the only one we do in 2025, and while it was a big push getting people to commit in the middle of winter, in the end we had way more contenders than we had anticipated rolling through on weigh in day ready to take up the challenge.

We’re super excited to see this group perform and put on a show come Fight Night 7 on Saturday, September 20.

As it’s the start of a new month we also wanted to welcome all of our new members who joined TFC over the month of July.  A gentle reminder to each of you to remember to book for classes on the app and then check in on the tablets at front desk when you arrive for training.  Also – don’t forget to wrap your hands if you’re training Boxing or Muay Thai.  We’ve included a link back to a tutorial video further down.

• Sunday Run Club Full Details & Directions

  The TFC run club, running for the duration of Fight Camp 7 kicked off last weekend.  

  The meeting point was Orleigh Park at West End, and we ran through the city over some of Brisbane’s beautiful bridges, across the Southbank promenade and back along the river.

  Vibes were high and the sun was out.

  We did have one group accidentally run a 10km instead of the prescribed 6km run they were supposed to be on, but they still got back first, so they’re definitely the ones to beat this week.

  This weekend we’ll meet at Kurilpa Point Park. 

  Lots of free street parking around, and just up the street by the Queensland Theatre is an open-air council carpark that’s free on Sundays.  You can find it on Google maps here – Car Park.

  We hope to see more TFC members come along and join the Fight Camp team every Sunday right up until September 14th.

• Issaac Rendall 2nd Round TKO

  Incredible performance from Issaac Rendall!  So good it won him performance of the night.

  QLD is a hot bed of MMA talent, and the talent pool of Australian fighters is internationally renowned, so for TFC to be taking out some of the top spots in the country, on the most reputable shows is nothing to be sneezed at.

  We’re super proud of Issaac, check out his performance and you will be too!

• q1 Amateur Muay Thai Series

  Nissan Arena will play host to the q1 this weekend.  Dan Bell is the organiser, so if you’re up for watching some Muay Thai this weekend, that’s definitely the place to be.
